No one ever told me how much my life was going to change once I had a child. This is the second night this week that I have not slept due to a child not being able to sleep. I can't help but wonder if as teenagers we sleep so much because we never slept as children.
And there are moments when I want to look at little miss and say... "why?" Why are you awake, why can't you just play quietly, why can't you sleep? And I find myself growing agitated.
But then they look at you and say, "I love you" or "I mi moose" (I miss you), plant kisses and hugs and call you by name.
and no matter how tired, grumpy, agitated or aggravated you are seeing that chubby cherub face and hearing those words fill your heart with such love. I will get sleep later. Hopefully.
