Cha-Ching!!!!!

Knowing that this might be our last "free" weekend (no youth functions, work, or other activities) the hubbs and I decided to go to Ikea and see what we would like to upgrade for the new home.
Oh my word!!! We walked out of there with a list and a half of things that we want to put in the new home. We have been married for almost 6 years and have only purchased 3 major furniture pieces. Our entertainment center, a coffee table and a couch. Which is why we feel like a new house means new stuff. And a lot of budgeting and saving to get us their.

But enough of that.... here is what we fell in love with

The add on unit for our office desk

And our desk. We are going to have to add this into our kitchen/dining area so we liked how it closes up. Also we don't have a lot of space so by it going up that gives us all the room to move around it without sacrificing our needs.

A chair that we will put in our living room. I like the pattern of the fabric. We are going for a very beach cottage kinda look and the pattern makes me think of the beach somehow.... don't ask. I don't know.

Hubby really wants a sofa with a chaise lounge attached to it. Right now this is the only one they have available. Plus it comes in a solid blue that matches the chair above. Which is what sells me on it. Though we need a couch with a sofa bed. And this one doesn't have that. They say that another sofa style should be coming in with the sofa/chaise combo and its a sofa bed. So we are going to wait a few months to see which one we like better.

We want this table and mismatch our chairs. Not this chair in particular but I threw it up here so you can get the idea of what we are looking for. Upholstered chairs with patterns and then maybe some plain dining chairs.

We really are looking forward to this transition from renters to owners. After renting for 6 years we can't help but to feel giddy and over zealous in making this house a home. I know it isn't the stuff that makes a home but knowing that we get to decorate and design and change whatever we want. Makes it feel like ours. Which makes it feel not just like a place we reside in but a house we live in.
